Drones and Aviation (8-13)

Soar the skies in this aviation adventure. You will participate in missions to fly drones, create take home models of flying objects such as a motorized helicopter, plane, parachute, UFO and spaceship. You will learn about FAA rules, drone flying safety, aerodynamics, self-driven planes and other inventions that will impact the future of aviation.   Brainopolis will provide the safety equipment and materials. For the safety of the kids, unruly and unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.

Fortnite Gliding

 (6-11)

Based on the apocalyptic survival game, the kids will use the scratch coding tool to recreate the floating bus, aerostatic balloon, and glider effect. The kids will trace their own digital images, design the landing terrain, and use coding to animate the flying and landing scenes. This camp will focus on creativity and programming logic. It will not include any destruction or violence. The kids are welcome to bring their own electronics to play during the break.

Start a YouTube Animation Channel

(7-13)

Create your own YouTube animation channel. Define the channel’s concept and mission. Develop scripts using a storywriter tool. Use Flash to create storyboards. Learn the basics of sound recording using the Audacity tool. Then use Adobe Animate to create backdrops and object symbols. Combine digital elements with the use of our digital puppets to create animated shorts. Given the amount of time that is needed to animate, students will not create their own characters but use our cartoon characters to practice animation. Brainopolis will provide laptops for the kids to use in class. Please bring your own mouse and flash drive.

Minecraft
Entrepreneurship

Create your own hypothetical real estate business. Design and build digital properties using Minecraft.  You will create your company name, logo, slogan, property catalog, and code an animated commercial to advertise your digital properties.  This class will help you with teamwork, creativity, focus, and will give you the opportunity to present your project. Brainopolis will provide laptops for the kids to use in class. Some activities will require students to share a laptop and work in pairs. Bring your own mouse and flash drive.

Animakers Factory

Join our group of creators and inventors. Use motors, cables, batteries, buzzers, propellers, and other materials to create your own toys. Apply principles of friction, speed, simple machines, and gear assembly to invent things that you can play with the rest of the summer.  If you are creative and like making things, this camp is for you.

Create a heart pacemaker model, code a heart monitor simulator, program a digital car that memorizes where obstacles are, and program a digital robot that asks people questions and learns from the answers in order to communicate. We will learn about Watson and other AI tools and their connection with robotics. Brainopolis will provide laptops for the kids to use in class. DJ Academy

If you like music and technology, this is the camp for you. Learn about beats, phrases, music genres, and scratch techniques as you mix and create digital music. Brainopolis will provide laptops and DJ controllers to work in pairs. Bring your own mouse and headphones. On the last 20 minutes on Friday, you will be able to showcase your DJ skills to impress your family and/or friends.

Amusement Parks (6-11)

Create models of amusement park rides as you learn about forces. Roller coasters, g-forces, and the elevator of terror will allow you to create awesome ride models using centrifugal, centripetal, gravitational, and kinetic forces.

Roblox Game Design (7-13)

Join our group of online game designers. This camp will allow you to create 3D tangible models of game scenes such as Natural Disasters. Create levels, environments, and worlds adding narrative and mechanics to customize a fun experience for the players. Brainopolis will provide laptops for the kids to use in class. Toy Makers

Create toy prototypes and learn about cost, price, vendors, customers, cash flow, profit and sales as you play with us to start your hypothetical business. You will be challenged at all times as the business circumstances change constantly. The vendor changed materials, the competitors lowered their prices, the customer ordered more merchandise, the assembly line must include delivery, a company merge and downsizing will keep you busy as you analyze and make decisions to keep your business afloat.

Immerse yourself in the murky waters of unsolved science mysteries as we address shark mortality rates, and learn about different types of sharks, their habitats, their anatomy, and their behavior. You will make models of sharks and their organs, as well as other animals that interact with them. This camp could inspire you to save sharks from illness and predators in the future.
