Parents/Players Information

Welcome to PSA Baseball

Registration is now open for the spring 2012 season! This season starts earlier than ever before with the Kid Pitch season starting mid-March and an anticipated league completion date early July. This date is subject to change based on the amount of rain throughout the season.

Registration:
Players can register individually, with or without a specific team request. Individual players will be assigned to teams as close to their neighborhood school as possible. We make every attempt to place players from the same school on the same team. For this reason, please list your child's school and/or their neighborhood elementary or middle school at time of registration. If your child is in preschool, list the school your child will attend in Kindergarten. At time of registration, a player may request to play with a friend, a specific coach or team. Though placement cannot be guaranteed, we do our best to meet requests.

Team and League Formation:

Our goal is to make sure that every child who wants to play baseball has a team. Teams will have a minimum of 13 players. Leagues are formed based on a child's current academic grade. Please make sure you register your child for the correct grade/league. A player may also play up one grade level.

Players in Kindergarten must play in the Kindergarten Modified TBall League. Preschoolers who will attend Kindergarten in the fall should play in the TBall League. Preschool 3 & 4 year olds not entering Kindergarten in the fall will play in the Jr. TBall League.

Practices:

Practices are organized by team coaches. PSA neither tracks or has knowledge of when or where a coach/team practices. Once a player is assigned to a team, PSA will not reassign him/her to another team due to practice conflicts. Please work with your coach to come up with a solution that best meets everyone's needs.

Uniforms:
Uniforms are included in the spring registration fee. Coaches will be responsible for turning in the uniform order to The Shop at PSA.

Parents/Players Information Game Times

Game Times:
Jr. TBall League - Game times will be Saturdays (8:00am-5:00pm start times), Sunday (1:00pm-5:00pm start times). If a game is rained out on the weekend, it may be rescheduled during the week at 6:00pm.

TBall and Modified TBall Leagues - Game times will be Saturdays (8:00am-5:00pm start times), Sunday (1:00pm-5:00pm start times), and some weeknights (6:00pm start times).

Coach Pitch/MKP Leagues - Game times will be Saturdays (8:00am-6:00pm start times), Sundays (1:00pm-5:00pm start times), and weeknights (6:00pm and 7:30pm start times). Fields are assigned by the City of Plano based on the number of players/teams in the league. They call for 2 games a night during the week and assign fields accordingly. We try to minimize the 8:00pm slots during the school year by playing more Sunday games.

3^rd- 8^th Grade Leagues - Game times will be Saturdays (8:00am-8:00pm start times), Sundays (1:00pm-5:00pm start times), and weeknights (6:00pm and 8:00pm start times). Fields are assigned by the City of Plano based on the number of players/teams in the league. They call for 2 games a night during the week and assign fields accordingly. We try to minimize the 8:00pm slots during the school year by playing more Sunday games.

Fields and Schedules:
Fields are assigned by the City of Plano. Once registration closes, the City assigns fields based on enrollment numbers. We cannot form schedules until we get these field assignments. We have no control over where we play; we receive field assignments one week before the season start date. Schedules are posted as soon as possible. Please be patient.
