  Ralph Walker - Skill Academy Director/Skills Coach

 

Ralph currently has 5 years of Basketball training experience, and 5 years of AAU Coaching Experience. Basketball Camp Coordinator for Advantage Basketball Camps, Five- Star Basketball Camp Coach, Coach for PSA Prep School, Varsity Basketball Official for Tinker Official Association, Varsity Basketball Official for NTBOA, and Volunteer/Mentor/Coach for various youth groups. Ralph Walker believes that confidence on the court comes from your skills training. How you train is how you play. His training emphasizes Fundamentals, Footwork, and fast pace game speed drills, shooting, dribbling, and most importantly defense.  

 

Ralph played for Creekview high school varsity basketball team as a 4 year starter from 1999 to 2002 at the point guard position. Awarded defensive player of the year 3 out of the 4 years, lead the 2001 season in assist for District 6-5A, Awarded the Commissioner’s award at OU Basketball Camp. He graduated from Point guard Basketball College in the summer of 2001, and Played Division 2 basketball at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Ralph Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently getting his master’s degree at the University of Dallas in Sports Management.


  Tex Rembert - Skills Coach

 

Tex has more than 5 years of personal training experience. He has trained over 20 division 1 College players, and over 100 high school players.

During the 08-09 season, he was the assistant basketball coach at Collin College. They were ranked #12 in the national NJCAA poll for Division 1 junior colleges in America.

During the 07-08 season, Rembert was the assistant men’s basketball coach at Wayland Baptist University, helping them finish second in their league and receiving an NAIA tournament bid.

In High school, Tex was the 72 ranked player in the state of Texas.  He was the Tournament MVP of the San Antonio Cornerstone Classic in 2001. He was selected as an All- District Player for the 2001-2002 season, averaging 15 points per game. He helped lead his team to the 2002 State title game in Austin.

Coach Rembert played college basketball at 3 different levels. During his two year tenure at Collin during the 02-03 and 03-04 seasons he contributed to a team record of 54-10, averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds per game during his sophomore season. He was selected as a first team all-conference and all region player in the 03-04 season.

 

After his two years at Collin College, Rembert transferred to the University of Hartford where he played the 04-05 season. The following year Rembert finished up his college basketball career at Abilene Christian University where he was an all-conference player and one of the league’s top scorers averaging 22 points per game. Coach Rembert is a 2007 Graduate of Abilene Christian University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

 

      Seth Scott - Skills Coach

 

Seth Scott is a dynamic and very athletic 6’10” power forward with the ability to play position three and five as well. Seth can accurately shoot from any mark on the court and is active on the rebound. Excellent ball handling skills with the ability to take the ball to the basket and open up plays for his teammates. Seth has exceptional floor vision, strong sense of defense, and a team driven/ goal oriented work ethic.

    Alvin Pierce - Skills Coach

 

Alvin Pierce was born on August 13, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York.  He attended Nassau Community College where he was the Captain of the Men’s Basketball team and a member of the Men’s Baseball team.  At Nassau, he averaged about 12 points a game each year.  After attending Nassau, he transferred to Long Island University at Southampton where he was also the Captain of the Men’s Basketball team.   At Long Island University, he averaged 15.6 points a game his first year and 12 points a game his last year.  After college, he played basketball for the Harlem Wizards from 2000 to 2004.  He also played basketball on the And 1 Mix Tape Tour in 2003.  He was a member of the Harlem Magic Masters basketball team from 2004 to 2005 and also managed and played on Team Headache.  He moved to Texas in 2005 where he worked for Grassroots Promotions managing various events and tours, including THE Vibe Hoops-N-Hip Hop, which provided celebrity basketball games as entertainment on college campuses.  He currently works for Plano Sports Authority and coaches several 6th and 7th grade basketball teams.

 

Quan Li - Skills Coach 

Quan was a professional basketball player in Chinese Youth National Team, Beijing Team, and Beijing Junior Team for more than 10 years. She started her basketball career at the age of 13.

 

Since 1988, Coach Li has started coaching the women basketball team at Central University of Nationalities in Beijing. After moving to USA in 1996, she has built and constructed her own basketball training clinics. Also, she is coaching advanced classes in PSA basketball skill academy. She has coached more than 260 students in Plano from the age 5 to 16. Among them, more than 40 students have been selected for school’s basketball teams.

Coach Li had played both point-guard and forward positions for the National Youth Team and Beijing Team. She provides a complete set of basketball skills. Her training classes emphases on the fundamental skills which include dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and rebounding. She also instructs young athletes in all kind of tactical and strategic skills in basketball sport.
 

 

Craig Sklar - Skills Coach

Craig has 20 years of High School coaching of experience. 5 years as a head coach at Episcopal School of Dallas. He spent the last 8 years at Cistercian Prep as lead assistant and head JV coach with a record of 136-24. He is the year round camp director for PSA and runs skills classes and the middle school prep tryout class. He also has coached his sons team in PSA for the last 4 years playing year round and has won 2 PSA championships and made the finals in each of the 4 years which gives him a unique perspective in developing younger talent with an eye towards school ball all the way up to high school. He also runs the new coaches clinic for PSA and does an on court clinic for all coaches at PSA twice a year or more if needed.

   

Rodney Belcher  - Skills Coach

Rodney has been instructing kids over the past 5 years in basketball skills development at PSA. Rodney is currently the Plano Senior High School Girl’s Assistant Coach. Rodney has coached basketball at high schools and colleges over the past 15 years. He played college basketball at North Texas State University and play High School basketball at Waco High School.
