1:00-1:10 -Welcome/ Name tags
1:10-1:30- Stretch - leg raises (pike, straddle), leg kicks, jumping jacks, crunches, 3 laps, wrist stretches, and walk kicks
1:30-1:40- Water break
1:40-1:50 Name game
1:50-2:20- Jumps: herkie (right and left), toe touch, hurdler (right and left), pike, tuck, partner jumps, and squad jumps
2:20- 2:40- Jump series and Jump lines to music
2:40- 3:00- Split into squads – begin teaching cheers

FOR SUBS. YOU MUST REFEREE THE GAME, NO SITTING.

TEACH THE KIDS HOW TO RUN THE 3 ON 2 AND 2 ON 1.

DAY1- PSA VOLLEYBALL CAMP
8:30-8:45
Camp Warm Up
• Jog one lap around all courts
Divide girls up into age groups
• Group 1 - 6-7 years old, Group 2 - 8-9 years old, Group 3 - 10-11 years old
• Adjust groups accordingly based on size variation of age groups
• Assign Coaches for age groups - coaches will be with their group all week

Stretch on courts in Groups with coaches

Passing Demo
• Coach instructs important passing form

9:00-9:30
Passing Drills
• Net passing forearm
• Partner with back to net tosses to partner at 10 “ line for 1 minute then switch
stationary passes, side to side, short and long, zig zag
• Overhead Passing (10 min)
• Net passing
• Same as forearm passing – stationary, side to side, short and long zig zag

YOUNGER GIRLS
: Over the knee passing (10 min)
• One player on left knee and partner tosses ball to platform for partner to pass back
• 10 reps and switch, go through 2x each

9:35-9:45
Passing to Target
3 lines of passing
• - Coach sends free balls to player - pass, shag and go to end of the line
• Progress from straight line passing to having players shuffle from side to side
• Focus - pass and hold, hips square to target
Variation- if they are having hard time getting to ball have them move to ball and let ball bounce between legs

9:45-10:00
Shuttle across Net
• 2 Groups on each side of the net with 2 players starting at 10’ line
• First tosser tosses ball to first player in line who will pass back to next player in line then go to end of line
• Object is to get as many passes in a row as possible
• Cheese- same setup but play as a game when player shanks pass they are out

Warm-up on Courts (Play tag, etc)

Serve Progression (overhead)
• Partners line up across net on 10 “ line- Instruct serve mechanics
• Players first Toss to each other overhand 2Xs then scoot back 2 steps till at service line
• Return to 10” line and hit 2Xs then scoot back 2 steps till at service line
• Spider – players must make successful serve then lay on opposite court first team on floor wins

11:00-11:20
Game-simulated passing
• 2 players try to get 3 touches ( queen of court) from freeball
• progress to 3 vs 3
• progress to 6 vs 6
