Winter Power League and Elite Teams

New Changes!!  In an effort to make this league more club-like and prepare our players for club volleyball, we have added ref duties for each team.  Many of our current club players are former Power League and Elite League players.  We want the transition from this program to club to be as seamless as possible and prepare our players in all aspects.  The ref team will be responsible for calling lines, keeping book, and keeping score.   We will use the USAV scoresheet to help the players become more familiar with the scorekeeping process.  We will be there to teach the athletes what they need to do.

Added Bonus!  Our parents will now be able to enjoy the match without being asked to call lines!!

****All matches this season (winter) will be at PSA 2****

FORCE Power League and FORCE Elite League Information

The FORCE Power Volleyball League was created to provide volleyball players the ability to play at a higher level than they do in the league play by receiving training from professional volleyball coaches.  This league offers paid coaches, a uniform package, extended practice time and intra-league matches.

Teams will be formed from the players who attend the evaluation clinics.  Players will be placed on teams by ability level.

FORCE ELITE LEAGUE:  This level is open to players who are 6th/7th/8th Grade who have some competitive playing experience.  These players must have played enough to know the position(s) they want to play.  Tryouts for this league will be based on position.

FORCE Power League and FORCE Elite League Tryout

Tryout Information

Players who wish to play in the Spring Power League or Elite League should register to attend a Tryout Clinic.  6th Graders are listed as eligible for either Power League or Elite League.  Please make your decision based on their level of experience. Tryouts are $20 and are available for registration on MySAM under Classes/Clinics.

Players should come to tryouts dressed appropriately for practice.  Kneepads should be worn.  Balls for tryouts will be provided.  There is no need for players to bring a ball.

Register for tryouts online

  • go to www.psaplano.org
  • Click on the MySAM link.

  • Click on Register and then "Classes/Clinics."  You will see the Power League Evaluation Clinics options.  Players need only attend one clinic.

During the clinics players will be put through a series of drills to assess their skill level.  We  will set the teams and send out invitation e-mails to you.

Signing night at PSA1:  Wednesday, April 4.
