Procedures for PSA Scholarship Acquisition
PSA offers scholarships to families that can not afford for their children to play PSA Sports. Please follow the guidelines below. PSA has limited scholarships available and will only take completed scholarships that meet the criteria and have all supporting documentation.
- Scholarship application must be fully completed by the applicant. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Registration form must be completed per child and included with application.
- Scholarship applications and supporting documentation must be turned in before the last week of registration. NO SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE APPROVED DURING THE LAST WEEK OF REGISTRATION OR AFTER THE LAST DAY OF REGISTRATION.
- Proof of income and residency must be presented in the form of:
1. An IRS 1099 form or the last income tax return, or
2. Two check stubs, or proof of government subsidy, food stamps, or free lunch program.
3. And A utility bill, and/or a report card for proof of residency.
- Scholarship percentages toward the registration fee are awarded based on number of children in the family and the calculated “annual income” on a sliding scale basis
- Family earning is based on household totals, including step parents, grandparents and or all adults living in the home.
- Any family earning $32,000 or more annually are not eligible for scholarship
- Scholarships do not include uniform or equipment expenses
- Scholarships are available one sport per child per season
- Scholarship applications must be resubmitted for each season
- Summer sports, camps, martial arts classes, sports skills academies, ice programs or “club sports” are not eligible for scholarships
