Being a PSA Volleyball Referee or Scorekeeper is a pretty cool job! We offer training, good pay and flexible work hours! All Officials must be at least 14 years of age.
Referees - Referees officiate the matches and administer the rules of the game. They are in charge of everything that happens during the match, including the scorekeeper. Referees must know all the rules of the game (both PSA core and competitive games) and need to know score keeping. Referees must be at least 15 years of age and will earn at least $10 per regular season match (Tournament format slightly different). Pay scale will vary accordingly with regard to experience and age. Experience is preferred but is not necessary.
Scorekeepers - Scorekeepers maintain the score sheet of each match and will operate the electronic scoreboards. Scorekeepers must be at least 14 years of age, have neat handwriting, be attentive and have good attention to details. Scorekeepers will earn at least $8.00 per regular season match (Tournament format slightly different).
Please note while we are flexible on work hours, we need referees and scorekeepers who are going to be able to work a majority of the season. We encourage you to apply if you are available most Saturdays during the Fall, Winter and Spring Season (September through May) and Wednesday/Thursday evenings during the Summer Season (June through August). The Fall, Winter, and Spring season also plays on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Requirements:
· If you have not already done so, email cynthiabb.psa@gmail.com to reserve a seat and indicate:
o which class (score keeper or ref) – if ref, please provide your volleyball experience and age
o at which PSA location you intend to work
· If you are not currently working for PSA, you must complete this 1099 independent contractor form online:
https://www.psaplano.org/onlineforms/Default.aspx. This form must be completed before you take the class.
· Fee for each training class is $25. Accepted payments will be entirely electronic and must be paid before the class date.
