Summer League Information

  If you want to coach.  Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Click on the link below to complete background check
  2. Create MySam account
  3. Email Rec league director:

  • Team Registration Only.  Teams and Wait list Players, must register in the grade they are currently as of Spring 2017.
  • Summer is different than all other seasons as it is a team only season where PSA does not normally make new teams and provide players.
  • Coach’s and Teams are responsible for the Full Team Fee, whether PSA provides your teams with players or cannot.
  • Individuals, that do not have a team, may register on the Wait List.  This list is used for coaches that need players.  Teams could also be formed from the wait list if we have enough Players.  Put player’s skill level and school in the information section when registering.  Placement is not guaranteed.
  • Boys and Girls Leagues K - 12th Grades (Grade as of Spring 2017).
  • 8 Game Season, and (2) Full Court Practices (Based on availability at any PSA location) for the Season.  No Playoffs, No Trophies.
  • Up to 12 players per team.
  • Individual players may only play on one team per grade (McKinney, Murphy, Plano). They may play in the grade they are currently in and up a grade, but not on two teams in the same grade. Does not matter if the teams are in different divisions or locations.
  • Coaches must have an updated background check and coach badge.
  • Divisions depend on number of teams registered and coaches division requests.  Teams need to enter division and conflict request in the Coaches Tool after they have registered the team.  Conflicts are not guaranteed. 
  • Log on to your MySam page to register 
  • Two practices included (NO WEEKLY PRACTICES)
  • Jersey Not included - Jerseys available at PSA shop located at PSA1 Center
  • Games Played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (if needed) 6, 7, 8, or 9pm Start Times.
  • No games will be played July 4th.
  • Games played at PSA 1, PSA2,PSA McKinney and/or PSA Murphy

*Divisions and Conflicts must be requested through Coaches Tools

 Divisions due by June 6th and Game Conflicts due by June 8th.



Coaches have a choice between recreational divisions  A (K-3rd), B or C.

  • Division A is for the top teams in the grade and the most competitive. (K-3rd Grades ONLY)
  • Division B is for experienced teams.
  • Division C is reserved for beginner teams or teams that won three games or less in a previous season.

In grades that also offer select league divisions, there will be no recreational league Division A.  Teams seeking this division should move to the select league.




*Conflict requests need to be submitted by June 8th.  Not all conflicts are guarenteed.  We will not accept any conflicts after the schedules are released. Conflicts are ONLY for the team and not individual players or coaches.
