Plano Sports Authority (PSA) is a non-profit organization established in 1970 which provides year-round youth sports programs and camps for over 100,000 registrants and families throughout Collin County and surrounding areas.

PSA is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to lead the operations and maintenance of our four sports facilities—ranging from 73,000 to 142,000 sq.ft.— in Plano (2), Murphy, and McKinney. Reporting to the General Manager, this role balances strategic oversight (80%) with hands-on support (20%) to ensure safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities. This is a unique position in that the ideal candidate will need to have proven project, personnel, and organizational management experience yet still willing and able to roll up their sleeves and join the facilities team to execute various day-to-day repair and maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, elevators, fire/life safety, surveillance, landscaping, and athletic equipment.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules through eMaint CMMS; monitor energy efficiency with Compass EMS.
  • Lead a facilities team of 4 staff, providing training, cross-training, and professional development.
  • Manage vendor contracts, performance reviews, and cost comparisons; recommend in-house vs. outsourced solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire marshal, and local building codes, lead emergency planning and response.
  • Create multi-year capital improvement plans, present budgets and facility condition assessments to leadership.
  • Serve as on-call responder for urgent facility needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education - must have one or the other 1.) High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) in combination with Vocational/Technical Degree or 2.) Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, roofing, elevators, and surveillance systems required. Experience with athletic equipment a plus.
  • Experience managing multi-site facilities or large campuses.
  • Proficiency with eMaint CMMS (or similar management system), Compass EMS (or similar Energy Management), Excel (advanced).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and building codes.

Location:

Primary office at PSA 1, 6500 Preston Meadow Drive, Plano,with regular travel to PSA2, Murphy and McKinney facilities as well as various athletic fields around the area at set times of the year.

This is a full-time, salaried management position with benefits.
