Who Can Become a PSA Camp Counselor?
We are looking for high school and college students, young professionals, and anyone passionate about working with children. Ideal candidates are energetic, responsible, patient, and have great communication skills. Prior experience in childcare, sports, or camp settings is a plus but not required.
Steps to Become a Camp Counselor
- Register as a camp counselor by completing the PSA Camp Counselor Registration Form online to begin your coaching journey.
- Attend an interview with our camp coordinators to share your experience and enthusiasm for working with kids.
- All counselors must complete training on safety, leadership, and activity planning before the camp starts.
- Once hired, you'll be assigned to a camp location and begin your rewarding journey as a PSA Camp Counselor, making a difference in young athletes' lives.
PSA Camp Counselor responsibilities include:
Guide and oversee campers while facilitating engaging activities and games to ensure a fun, safe, and positive experience.
Help lead sports activities, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises to create a fun and engaging experience for campers.
Create a welcoming, supportive, and secure camp environment where all campers feel included, valued, and encouraged to have fun.
Effectively engage and communicate with campers, staff, and parents to ensure a positive and organized camp experience.
Inspire young athletes by setting a positive example, promoting teamwork, and fostering good sportsmanship on and off the field.
