BASEBALL Prep Program: 4th - 6th GRADE BOYS
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
This program is designed for those athletes who already have a good skill set in the game of baseball and are looking to up their skill to the next level. This will be the second year of this program. The program is designed to advance your athletes skills in: hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, and many other areas of the game.
The players will have the opportunity to work with a coach one on one for pitching and hitting instruction.
The schedule will be:

This program layout is set to put athletes on a team and conduct team practicing, hitting practice, scrimmage, and speed and agility workouts. The team will be divided based on the enrollment numbers.
Tuesdays & Wednesdays are designated for team practices either at the field or at Extra Innings for team batting practice. WIth the upcoming school year, flexibility will be appreciated as far as practice schedules. Saturdays will be designated for scrimmage days. Sundays will be our speed and agility days at Extra Innings. As an individual, you will sign up for a time slot during the week to come in and work with the coaches at Extra Innings.

About the Head Coach
Coach Leo McDaniel (Coach Mac)

Leo McDaniel is presently an 8th grade football, basketball, and track coach at Robinson Middle School in Plano ISD. He graduated from San Antonio- Madison High School. Three-year varsity baseball player and all district and all state recognition. He played his freshman year at Dodge City Community College then transferred to play at University of Texas- Pan AM. Leo graduated from the University of Texas-San Antonio with a degree in Kinesiology and Education. Leo has been coaching for nine years and takes pride in teaching others. He started as an assistant baseball coach at Madison High School in San Antonio during his undergrad work at University of Texas at San Antonio. He later became the Varsity pitching coach and JV head baseball coach at North Mesquite High School in 2005. He has attended many university training camps over the years where he has learned new and modern ways to approach new skills to the game. He was coached by Mike “The Hitman” Easler who is presently the hitting coach of the New York Mets for 3 years. Coach McDaniel still uses Coach Easler’s philosophy of hitting and instructing as main focal points in his own instructing. He has a great knowledge of the game, not only hitting, but pitching and fielding as well. He takes pride and passion in coaching the future generations of baseball players in the Dallas Metroplex.
