BASKETBALL PREMIER PREP PROGRAM INFORMATION!
Premier Prep 4TH-6TH GRADE BOYS AND GIRLS
Elite Prep 7TH-10TH GRADE BOYS AND GIRLS
*These classes are for the experienced basketball player who has already been playing the sport, not intended for players just beginning!
These programs are designed for 4th-10th grade boys and girls who want to start preparing early for their chances of making their middle or high school teams. In these classes your athlete will be drilled on the fundamentals during a weeknight session(Fall and Spring only) that will get them ready for the more advanced techniques needed for school. We will show these skills in a variety of drills that will be very similar to what they will see at their school. All coaches do things a little different as far as the drills they use but the skills and concepts are all the same. They will be given key tips on what can impress a coach in a mass tryout that will help them stand out. THESE CLASSES ARE NOT FOR THE BEGINNER PLAYER.
The Saturday sessions will be run like a real school 2-hour practice. The practices will provide the athlete the ability to understand concepts and designs of basketball plays both offensively, defensively and pressing situations. Just being able to run these drills and plays will give them a leg up on the competition. and only serious, experienced players should enroll in this class. Along with drills and skills, your child should expect to be able to handle rigorous conditioning associated with basketball tryouts. There also will be times where the coaches will push the kids harder than they are used to as this is what they should expect at tryouts. Realize your child will have to compete against upwards of 60-100 kids trying out for 2 to 3 teams of 10 kids most likely. It is getting harder and harder to make school teams.
