Covid Badge Protocol

Below is important information on changes regarding the season, as well as health and safety guidelines specific to flag football which will be implemented when the games begin the week of June 17th.

Schedules

Schedules for Kinder through High School have been posted in DaySmart.  We will have playoffs for 1st grade and up.  Please note you will be playing at multiple arenas for the remainder of the season.  We do have a handful teams whose schedule will be released by Tuesday and will modify some whose schedules has already been released.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Rosters

Coaches, please check that the correct players are listed on your DaySmart roster, especially if your team merged with another team.

Rosters from DaySmart will be at the arenas and the Referees will check if necessary.

Uniforms

We are allowing teams who have merged to simply wear the SAME color shirt with temporary numbers or have the same color pennies for each game.   Every player must be on the team’s game roster.

Coaching Badges

Since the buildings will not be open for Coaches to obtain a physical badge, please use the following procedures:

  • New Coaches – Please complete our coaches application.  When you have been approved, you will receive and email with instructions to print a copy of the email and bring to the game along with your driver’s license to show to the official.
  • Lost Badge – please send us an email and we will email you with instructions to print a copy of the email and bring to the game along with your driver’s license to show to the official.
  • Expired Badge – Please complete our coaches application.  When you have been approved, you will receive and email with instructions to print a copy of the email and bring to the game along with your driver’s license to show to the official.  IF your expired badge has an expiration date between March 2020 and August 2020, this will be acceptable.

GAME SWAPS:

Now that the season game schedule has been published, game swap requests should be limited to those situations where a team is unable to field the minimum number of players and would otherwise be forced to forfeit. In all other cases the games should be played as published.

If you want to move a full game instead of just swapping opponents, all 4 teams involved must agree to the change.

There are no alternative dates for games. Any changes must conform to the already posted schedule.

Please follow these guidelines for requesting a game swap:

Step 1: Determine any scheduling conflict well in advance.

  • Forfeited games will not be rescheduled.
  • If a team is unable to field the minimum number of players at game time, then they must forfeit the game.
  • As a courtesy to the opposing team, please notify PSA if a team is unable to play a game.

Step 2: Coordinate a game time swap with another game within your division.

  • Coaches should the contact other team or teams for the time they would like to move to via e-mail or telephone. Please coordinate these swaps on your own. Email the appropriate PSA director to get the contact information for the other coach.
  • Game time swaps require that all coaches agree with the change. Swaps must be completed 48 hours in advance to game day before game reminders are sent out to teams.
  • You should look for a team that shares your opponent on another date.  Request that the team switch dates with you.
  • If you are seeking to move the entire game, you must get the approval of all teams involved in the change.  You cannot move to another time slot without replacing your game.  Officials and fields are scheduled well in advance.

Step 3: After arranging the swap, email the appropriate PSA director to update the DaySmart online schedules to reflect the change.

Step 4: If you are unable to arrange a swap and will be forfeiting the game, e-mail the appropriate PSA director 48 hours in advance to cancel the fields and referees.

No conflict requests or game time swaps are allowed for postseason playoffs or tournament games.
