Teams
Our elementary-aged teams (u8-u12) are broken down by age range depending upon how old the child is on September 1st of the previous year. This changes with u14 which is for all children who are still in 7th or 8th grade. For HS athletes simply sign up for the HS team.
u8
For children under 8. This age group plays two-hand touch rugby and focuses on learning the basics of evasion, pursuit, spacing, and passing.
u10
Our under 10 team is where athletes take their first steps toward tackle rugby. Tackling safety and introduction of rucking is paramount to the success of this age group with a continued focus on the fundamentals picked up at u8.
u12
At under 12 our athletes continue to focus on the basics and are introduced to positional play, line out, scrummaging, and our club’s Varsity playbook.
u14
At Middle School, players are separated into boys and girls teams. Boys will play full 15-a-side rugby and girls start playing 7-a-side rules. Our boys will play a mix of local matches and tournaments. Our girls will primarily play in the state tournaments.
High School
Early in the spring, our boys play a robust calendar of 15-a-side rugby against teams from the metroplex and Oklahoma. This is followed by a shorter season of Summer 7s. Our girls play a variety of 7s tournaments that culminate in the State Championship tournament.
