Welcome to PSA Soccer  

The season starts on mid- February and will end near the end of April.  The fall season begins late August/ early September. These dates are subject to change based on the amount of rain throughout the season.

Registration:
Players can register individually, with or without a specific team request.  Individual players will be assigned to teams as close to their neighborhood school as possible.  We make every attempt to place players from the same school on the same team.  For this reason, please list your child's school and/or their neighborhood elementary or middle school at time of registration.  If your child is in preschool, list the school your child will attend in Kindergarten.  At time of registration, a player may request to play with a friend, a specific coach or team.  Though placement cannot be guaranteed, we do our best to meet requests.

Team and League Formation:

  Our goal is to make sure that every child who wants to play soccer has a team.  Leagues are formed based on a child's current academic grade.  Please make sure you register your child for the correct grade/league.  A player may also play up one grade level.  No players are allowed to play down a grade.

Practices:

Practices are organized by the coaches.  PSA does not track a team's practice time and/or location.  Once assigned a team, PSA cannot change a player's team assignment due to practice day/time conflicts. PSA Indoor registration fees do not include indoor practice times on the turf. Some free practices are given before the season starts for newly formed teams when possible. It is the coaches decision to rent the indoor field for practice, practice elsewhere, or practice outside at a neighborhood park.  Some indoor teams will choose not to practice.

Uniforms:
Uniforms are not included in the registration fee.  Coaches will be responsible for turning in the uniform order to The Shop at PSA or choosing another vendor option to secure uniforms for the team.

Game Times:

• Pre K Soccer:  Game times for Pre K Soccer are Saturdays (8am-5pm start times) and Sundays (1pm-5pm start times).

• Kindergarten & 1st Grade:  Games times for Kindergarten and 1st Grade are Saturdays (8am-5pm start times) and Sunday (1pm-5pm start times). Can also play on weeknights.
  

• 2nd Grade:  Game times are Saturdays (8am-5pm start times), Sundays (1pm-5pm start times), and weeknights (Tues/Wed/Thur - 6pm and 7:05pm start times).  Fields are assigned by the city based on the number of players/teams in the league.  They assume that we have 2 games a night during the week and assign fields accordingly. We are given just enough slots to play our games.  We try to minimize the 7:05 slots during the school year by playing more weekend games.

• 3rd - 8th Grade:  Game times are Saturdays (8am-8pm start times), Sundays (1pm-5pm start times), and weeknights (Tues/Wed/Thur - 6pm and 7:30pm start times).  Fields are assigned by the City of Plano based on the number of players/teams in the league.  They assume that we have 2 games a night during the week and assign fields accordingly.  We are given just enough slots to play our games.  We try to minimize the weeknight slots during the school year by playing more weekend games.

Outdoor Fields and Schedules:
Fields are assigned by the City of Plano.  Once registration closes, the City assigns fields based on enrollment numbers.  We form schedules when we get these field assignments.  Schedules are posted as soon as possible.  Please be patient.

Practices are organized by team coaches.  PSA neither tracks or has knowledge of when or where a coach/team practices.  Once a player is assigned to a team, PSA will not reassign him/her to another team due to practice conflicts.  Please work with your coach to come up with a solution that best meets everyone's needs.
